I’ve taught cheerleading camps across the nation, and one area in which almost every squad struggles is how to spirit well.
Because of that I developed what I call my “spirit lesson” that I went over with every squad I worked with individually, and I still do it at least once a year with my own cheerleading squad now. I hope you find it helpful for your squad or yourself.
1. Don’t woo!
2. Use your motions.
3. Use your words.
4. Some silence is okay.
5. Use your skills.
5. Express excitement with your voice and face.
